ELECTROLESS NICKEL:

Electroless Nickel Plating:
In contrast to conventional electrolytic plating processes, electroless nickel plating does not use an electric current to produce a deposit, but operates chemically. This process produces a uniform thickness of nickel all over parts with complex shapes and recesses. Electroless nickel also offers excellent corrosion protection and hardness. It is well suited for gears, threads, mold cores and machine parts. The finish is also used in the electronics industry for cabinets and chassis components to provide EMI/RFI shielding.

Teflon®/PTFE Electroless Nickel Plating:
PTFE electroless nickel offers the same advantages of electroless nickel with added lubricity. The composite coating is uniform and hard with a low coefficient of friction and excellent release characteristics for mold cores. It is also used extensively in valve and pump components as well as paper guides and pistons.
